I'm Hanwen Ma. figsalade is the name I use for my personal photography and graphic work. I'm based in Shanghai.

Most of what is here is photography: people up close, gestures, and small moments on the street. I made these series in the UK, across Europe and in Tokyo, between 2023 and 2026. Each series is shown as a sequence, so it reads in one direction, from the first frame to the last.

The graphic work is personal too: posters, covers and small printed pieces, most of them made between 2024 and 2025.

I'm open to commissions and collaborations — photography, cover art, posters, or something between them. Get in touch.
